2023 SECPA/SECOM CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

(La Junta, CO) – Local charities in Southeast Colorado will benefit from nearly 15 thousand dollars raised in the recent annual SECPA/SECOM Charity Classic golf tournament.

Eighty men and 45 women played in the 36th annual tournament which was held July 7th and 8th at the Rocky Ford and La Junta golf courses. Golfers throughout the state traveled to take part in the fun weekend.

Money raised from the tournament is used each year to fund requests from organizations throughout SECPA and SECOM’s service areas. Organizations interested in receiving funds are asked to send a letter to SECPA/SECOM describing their need and what they intend to do with the funds. Southeast Colorado Power Association and SECOM want to personally thank the golfers who played and the volunteers who made it happen. The generosity of those involved with the tournament makes it possible to help the needs of non-profits and other charitable organizations in our local community.
