Hot air rises so why mount heaters near the ceiling? Most people grew up in homes, which were heated with hot air, and as we all know, it rises. Most people do not understand radiant heat. It will heat anything in its line of sight, up - down - sideways, it does not matter. Radiant heat, unlike hot air, is unaffected by gravity. So by mounting a Comfort-Cove® high on the wall close to the ceiling it can "see" and therefore, heat the room from above. Radiant heat does not rise like hot air but rather travels in a straight line until striking an object. So the first place radiant heat goes is down, not up.
SAFE - Due to their location high on the wall, close to the ceiling, this system poses no threat to children who many times play with the dangerous power cords.
ECONOMICAL - Comfort Cove evenly spreads radiant warmth throughout the room so placement is not critical. This means interior walls can be utilized as heater locations driving down material and labor costs.
ATTRACTIVE - They are thin and attractive and come in four colors to blend with almost any decor.
SPACE SAVING - Because of this ideal mounting location, they require none of your precious floor space.
ENERGY EFFIENCENT - In a recent study, it was found that radiant electric heat saves 52% when compared to electric baseboard and 33% savings over air to air heat pumps.
